Rosemary Rak

As an Education Specialist at the Wade Institute for Science Education at Manomet Conservation Sciences, Rosemary brings decades of experience and a true passion for science education. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Lesley University and an M.S. in Marine Biology from Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMass Dartmouth).

Before joining the Wade Institute, Rosemary spent more than 32 years with Taunton Public Schools, where she served as a high school biology teacher and science curriculum supervisor. She’s passionate about helping educators bring high-quality, engaging science instruction to their students—and sees her work at Manomet as a natural continuation of that mission.

At Manomet, Rosemary works closely with her colleagues to design and deliver professional learning experiences that support and inspire K–12 teachers. She also helps assess the impact of these programs by developing evaluation tools and digging into participant feedback. Outside of work, you’ll often find her out on a nature walk, exploring the shoreline, or spending quality time with her family.
