Susan Mazzarella
Susie joined Manomet in June of 2023 as Director of Grants and Reporting. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, Susie will oversee the day-to-day management and reporting of grant funds received by federal, state, local, private and public entities.
Susie started her career in the dynamic field of investment banking and was employed by Adams, Harkness & Hill as the SVP of Administration and Operations for over 10 years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University, where she gained a solid foundation in business and finance. Recognizing her passion for education, she furthered her academic pursuits and obtained a Master’s in Education from Salem State University.
Since 2011, Susie served as a Federal Grants Coordinator for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. She was responsible for supporting a portfolio of 45 public school districts and partnered with them to manage all fiscal, compliance and reporting mandates. Prior to her 12 years with the Department of Education, she was the CFO for Arlington Public Schools.
Originally from Michigan, Susie now resides in Salem, MA with her husband and very energetic Vizsla pup. She is excited to leverage her background, education, and wide-ranging interests to help advance the mission of Manomet. Outside of work she enjoys exploring new places through travel, experimenting with culinary creations, golfing, kayaking, biking, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
