Blue crabs are expanding into the Gulf of Maine as waters warm.
Manomet and New Hampshire Sea Grant are collecting observations of blue crabs to understand distribution and abundance. If you’ve encountered a blue crab, please let us know by filling out a short survey including when, where and what you were doing when you found the blue crab. Including a photo with your submission is highly encouraged, and if you are able to determine the sex or size, that is also helpful information.
