About the Contest
The Bird-a-thon Photo Contest celebrates the beauty of birds, nature, and the community spirit of Manomet Conservation Sciences. By sharing your best shots taken at Manomet’s property, you’ll help inspire others to care about birds and conservation, while supporting our banding lab through this year’s Bird-a-thon.
Eligibility
- Open to all ages.
- Two categories:
- Adult Category: 18 years and older.
- Junior Category: Under 18 years old.
How to Enter
- Submit up to three photo(s) in high resolution by email to [email protected]
- Submissions close on September 30, 2025.
- Don’t forget to include your full name, a photograph title for each submission and when your photo was taken.
Voting & Selection
- Photos will be posted on Manomet’s official Facebook page
- Voting will be open for one week, ending on October 7, 2025
- Winners will be chosen by public vote (the photos with the most “likes”).
Prizes
- Adult Category Winner: Osprey Backpack
- Junior Category Winner: Standard Issue Waterproof 10×25 Binoculars
Photo Usage
- By submitting, participants grant Manomet Conservation Sciences permission to use their photos (with credit) for promoting our conservation efforts, programs, and general work, across digital and print platforms.
Contest Spirit
This contest is about more than winning prizes. It’s about celebrating birds, inspiring conservation action, and raising support for Manomet’s Banding Lab, which has studied and protected migratory birds for more than 50 years. Every photo shared helps tell the story of why birds matter and why we need to protect the places they depend on.
