Matching Gifts
Amplify the impact of your gift by having it matched! Many companies sponsor matching gift programs and match any charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees, and employees’ spouses. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift verification form from your employer, and send it to us completed and signed. We’ll take care of the rest.
IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are 70 ½ or older and have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution of up to $105,000 (in 2024) annually from your IRA to Manomet without incurring tax on the distribution. This amount is excluded from your adjusted gross income and may count toward your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Speak with your financial advisor or accountant for complete details and ask them if giving directly from your IRA makes sense for you.
Donor Advised Funds
A donor advised fund (DAF) is a type of account administered by a third party such as a bank or investment firm that allows you to combine favorable tax benefits and your philanthropic goals with the flexibility to support Manomet easily. You may receive a charitable tax deduction at the time cash or other assets are transferred to the DAF. Later, you can advise that gifts be made to organizations such as Manomet.
