The Art & Science of Recovering Shorebird Populations: The Photographs of Manomet Conservation Sciences is now on exhibit at the Plymouth Public Library (132 South Street, Plymouth, MA) through the end of September. This exhibit features 30 stunning images captured across the Western Hemisphere during our work to recover imperiled shorebird populations. Each beautiful photograph tells a story—of migration, resilience, and the dedicated people working to protect these extraordinary birds.
Join us for a special reception on Thursday, September 25, from 6:00–7:30 PM at the Plymouth Public Library. Meet the photographers, hear the stories behind their work, and enjoy an exclusive viewing of the exhibit.
This collection is dedicated in honor of our colleague, friend, devoted conservationist, and contributing photographer, Shiloh Schulte, who lost his life in June of this year while conducting research on Alaska’s North Slope. Shiloh’s impact on shorebird science and conservation over the past two decades has been profound. His passion for these birds and the landscapes they depend upon shines through in the extraordinary photographs he contributed to this exhibit.
