Michael Taubenberger

From 2002 through 2018, Michael Taubenberger was the Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, where he played an integral part in building, expanding, and operationalizing the new ICA located on South Boston’s waterfront and its auxiliary facility located on the East Boston waterfront. He has over 30 years of senior management experience in managing the finances and operations of nonprofit and governmental organizations. Additional positions include Chief Financial Officer for Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, Director of Administration and Finance for the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development, and Chief Planner for the Town of Methuen. Michael is currently retired.

Michael has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelors degree in Resource Economics from the University of Maine at Orono. Michael has served on the Board of the Neighborhood House Charter School Foundation and the School’s Finance and Audit Committee since 2003. Michael has been a Manomet Trustee since 2010 where he serves as the Treasurer, Chair of the Finance Committee, and member of the Executive Committee. Michael is also a Trustee of the Mattapoisett Land Trust as Assistant Treasurer and also serves on their Finance and Acquisitions Committees.
