Jo-Ann Lovejoy
Jo-Ann joins Manomet’s Board, having served for 10 years as a Counselor and a member of the Board Development Committee. Recently retiring as the Chief Advancement Officer at Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA, Jo-Ann’s fundraising and development experience spans over 20 years with volunteer and leadership positions at The Fenn School, Concord, MA; Buckingham Browne and Nichols School, Cambridge, MA (Director of Annual Giving); Middlesex School, Concord, MA (Major Gift Officer), and The Esplanade Association, Boston, MA (Mission Advancement Officer).
Jo-Ann and her husband live in Concord, MA, where they manage the family’s vegetable and perennial gardens together, with an eye to bird habitat. A beekeeper for over 30 years and a member of The Garden Club of Concord, Jo-Ann is also a fiber artist and, now a grandparent, enjoys sharing the joys of birding with her grandchildren. From building birdhouses to identifying bird nests and monitoring the activity of the backyard bird feeder (guide in hand), inspiring the next generation of avian stewards is magical.
