Join us on Saturday, October 14th, and be a part of Manomet’s Bird-a-Thon—a 24-hour birding extravaganza that contributes to bird research and conservation!

Evan Dalton, Director of the Manomet Observatory, will have an awesome “big sit” style birding set-up on the bluff at Manomet Headquarters overlooking Cape Cod Bay. Come hang out and help Manomet reach its Bird-a-Thon goal of observing 400 species in 24 hours! Bring your binoculars or use the scopes on the bluff to observe birds (and other creatures!) that are passing by. Light refreshments will be provided! Registration is required.

At last year’s Bird-a-Thon, nearly 60 species were observed off the bluff at Manomet HQ (check out the eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S120232373)!

What to bring:

  • Something to sit on (and a blanket if it’s cold!)
  • Binoculars

Parking: When arriving at 125 Manomet Point Rd, pass though the first wooden gate and continue up the gravel road until you see the parking lot on the left. Accessible parking is available—continue past the parking lot, following Manomet’s signage, until you reach the Headquarters building.
