Join Manomet Conservation Sciences and the Friends of Monomoy for a bird walk at the Morris Island (mainland) section of Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge! Liana DiNunzio, Manomet Shorebird Biologist, will lead the group and provide a unique opportunity to learn about Monomoy’s importance to migrating shorebirds.
In addition to shorebirds, we will also be on the lookout for any other wildlife that call the Refuge home. Whether you are a seasoned birder or completely new to shorebird identification, we hope you will join us!
Items to bring: binoculars, water, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes
Cost: Free to attend; registration is required.
Parking/Meeting Location: Meet at Fred’s Shed at the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge parking lot, 30 Wikis Way, Morris Island, Chatham, MA.
