Annual Fund

Thank you for helping us reach our goal—and then some!

You Did It!  Thank you for your dedicated support and for helping us not only reach, but exceed our FY 2015 Annual Fund goal by $60,000, for a total of more than $960,000.

We depend on our supporters more than anything else. Because of the generous contributions of our many donors we continue our work towards a sustainable future.

You make it possible for Manomet to grow and change with the demands of the times, and all of us at Manomet want you to know how grateful we are to have you on our team.

If you haven’t given to Manomet this year, please consider making a gift today

Grants

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has awarded Manomet a two-year, $288,000 grant to help Maine towns set up softshell clam farms. The grant comes from the NOAA/National Marine Fisheries Service Saltonstall-Kennedy Grants Program, which funds projects that address the needs of fishing communities, optimize economic benefits by building and maintaining sustainable fisheries, and increase other opportunities to keep working waterfronts viable.

Manomet received $33,894 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2 Source Reduction Assistance grant program to provide pollution prevention training and assessments to grocery stores and dairy farms in New York and New Jersey. Work will include on-site technical assistance to 30-to-40 grocery stores and up to five dairy farms on best management practices for reducing the use of hazardous chemicals, conserving energy and water, and saving money. When additional funds become available for this program, Manomet’s agreement will be increased to $80,000 contingent upon Federal budget decisions.

The Hermann Foundation has awarded Manomet $40,000 in general operating funds. These unrestricted funds are critical to Manomet and all nonprofits as they allow an organization to identify the greatest needs within and apply funds to those needs.
