Evan Dalton

Lead Instructor, Landbird Conservation

Cornell’s eBird has come quite a long way since its inception in the early 2000s. Today more than 300,000 people have used this online platform to submit their bird sightings! From the amateur to the extreme, birders of all levels have something to gain from this fantastic resource. Participants in this class will learn how to submit their own sightings using the online and phone app versions of eBird. More importantly, we’ll also explore how eBird can help you keep track of your personal sightings, find new birds and explore new places. Participants are welcome to bring their own laptops and are encouraged to bring a phone with the eBird app installed. Bring your binoculars for a short walk in the field too!

Cost is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Contact Evan Dalton at edalton@manomet.org with questions. Rain date is Saturday, December 8.
