Lora Winslow

Program Manager, Sustainable Economies Program

Lora is a born and raised Mainer, and has been a passionate environmentalist since seeing an Earth Day special in fourth grade. Lora joined Manomet's Sustainable Economies Program in August 2015.

Lora received her B.A. in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic and her Master's of Environmental Law & Policy, with a concentration in Climate Change, from Vermont Law School. While Lora has a broad knowledge of environmental issues, the areas for which she has the greatest experience and interest include climate change, sustainable business, toxins and human health, food and agriculture, energy, and environmental policy.

Lora has more than a decade of experience working in the sustainability and environmental field, in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Prior to joining Manomet, Lora has worked for The SunriseGuide and Reverb (a nonprofit that "greens" the music industry), and she spent many years as the Director of Marketing & Sustainability for O'Naturals, a regional organic restaurant chain. She also founded and directed The Naked Truth Project, a nonprofit that educated consumers about the toxins found in conventional food and products, and what safer alternatives exist.

When she's not working, Lora enjoys knitting, cooking, listening to the Red Sox on the radio, being by the water, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
