Catharina Damrell

Field Manager, Grocery Stewardship Certification

Catharina Damrell joined the Manomet team last fall as a Communications, Marketing and Social Media Intern. She worked with the communications team to shape outreach strategies and maintain social media for Manomet’s newly-expanded Grocery Stewardship Certification (GSC) program before being hired as the GSC Program Associate in January 2014. Catrina was promoted to Field Manager for GSC in April 2016 and now manage all activities that occur at GSC participant grocery stores from scheduling and delivering trainings, processing workbooks, and drafting reports.


Her prior experiences include studying North Atlantic sand dollars off the coast of Georgetown, Maine, and serving as a field technician for an ornithologist studying the Bahama Parrot and West Indian Woodpecker on Abaco Island, Bahamas. She has also worked for an international carbon neutral certification program based in New Zealand and as a science technician at Gulf of Maine Research Institute.


Catharina recently completed a U.S. Fulbright grant as part of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program. She worked at a high school in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia.


Prior to living in Indonesia, she graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies.


She currently lives in Georgetown, Maine, and loves spending time outdoors with her Rat Terrier, Samson, and his ball at Reid State Park.
