More than three decades ago, when Manomet began as a bird banding operation, volunteers were an essential part of the spirited, dedicated team that helped turn Manomet’s vision into reality. Today, Manomet has evolved as a leader in environmental research, partnership building, and solution development, working to conserve forest, wetland, marine, and agricultural habitats, as well as birds and wildlife populations throughout the Western Hemisphere.

Serving these diverse programs and our overall mission are volunteers contributing a special mix of talents, experience, and skills. Each day, our volunteers are at work supporting Manomet in many different places--assisting with field research, banding, surveys, library and data entry services, and a multitude of other activities essential to our programs and operations. Whatever the volunteer’s role, we recognize their support as invaluable to Manomet, both now and for our future.
