Manomet works to conserve shorebird habitats in the five Mexican states that border on the Sea of Cortéz, in northwest Mexico. Manomet personnel work with local and international stakeholders to implement the 2010 Shorebird Recovery Plan for Northwest Mexico.
This conservation project includes 11 designated Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network sites, covering more than a million hectares.
