The Arctic Shorebird Demographics Network studies the factors that limit population size to build the science foundation for conservation of arctic-nesting shorebirds. Manomet personnel organize the network, serve on the steering committee, support participating organizations with fundraising and supervise the development of the scientific and logistical protocols.
This project provides critical information on what actually limits shorebird populations, so that conservation efforts can be effectively targeted at the root problems.
